Organised by the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship, the EXETAT assesses the knowledge and skills pupils have built throughout secondary school. It is required for final-year pupils who wish to obtain their State diploma (Baccalauréat).
The EXETAT is the gateway to universities, higher institutes, and other tertiary institutions in the DRC and abroad.

Candidates who pass the EXETAT receive the State diploma (Baccalauréat), the official document certifying success in the examination. This diploma is required for enrolment in higher education and for many career paths.
The EXETAT is a crucial step in every Congolese pupil’s education. It validates all years of secondary study and opens the door to higher education and professional life. Solid preparation and steady work throughout the year are key to success.
