EXETAT

National end-of-secondary examination — the credential that opens doors to higher education and working life in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

What is the EXETAT?

The EXETAT (Examen d’État) is the national end-of-secondary examination in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is the official qualification that marks the end of secondary school and grants access to higher education or working life.

Organised by the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship, the EXETAT assesses the knowledge and skills pupils have built throughout secondary school. It is required for final-year pupils who wish to obtain their State diploma (Baccalauréat).

Why the EXETAT matters

Access to higher education

The EXETAT is the gateway to universities, higher institutes, and other tertiary institutions in the DRC and abroad.
