To ensure the smooth organization of the 2023 regular session of the State Examination, officials from the Haut-Katanga 1 educational province met on Saturday, June 17, with several secondary school principals from the city of Lubumbashi. The provincial chief inspector, Nicolas Nyange Bizy, assured his guests that everything is ready to allow high school seniors to take their exams without any concerns. “Dear school principals, the Haut-Katanga 1 educational province is already prepared for the organization of the State Exam. This meeting with you is aimed at the technical preparation for the regular session of the state exam. I would like to remind you, dear school principals, that the instructions regarding the organization and administration of the state exam remain the same. “You must prepare all E89, E2, and E13 students,” he said. Earlier, the provincial director of the EPST, Joseph Mwinkeu Tshiend, had reiterated several instructions in effect within the EPST sub-sector, which must be followed until the end of the current school year. “Ladies and gentlemen, school principals, as part of our policy of working closely with you, and with the earnest desire to do things better, we have convened you today to discuss technical and practical provisions that must be strictly adhered to, because we are committed to ensuring our students achieve the best possible performance on their certification exams. I remind you that the school calendar must be followed. No registration activities may take place before July 6. Therefore, the date set for the announcement of student results remains July 1, 2023, for all levels of education, from preschool through high school,” emphasized Joseph Mwinkeu Tshiend. Several other instructions regarding the maintenance of answer sheets by graduating students were communicated to school principals so that they may relay them within their schools, while warning of the severity of penalties for any attempt at fraud or misconduct. It has also been strictly prohibited for graduating students to bring cell phones or electronic watches into state exam centers. The Haut-Katanga 1 educational province has 157 state exam centers, 115 of which are in Lubumbashi. As a reminder, the EXETAT will be held from Monday, June 26, to Thursday, June 29, throughout the country. The scheduled subjects are: -General Knowledge: Monday, June 26, 2023 -Science: Tuesday, June 27, 2023 -Elective Courses: Wednesday, June 28, 2023 -Language: Thursday, June 29, 2023 Dan de Dieu Kayanda
