EXETAT 2023: nearly 75,000 more candidates than in 2022 (Document)

Actualités

174 additional state exam testing centers have been added this year compared to last year, due to a significant increase in the number of final-year students expected to take the 2023 exam.

In fact, 1,002,806 final-year humanities students are expected to take the exam on Monday, June 26, 2023—74,873 more than in the 2022 session, which had 927,933 candidates.

This increase has had a significant impact on the number of exam centers required.

While there were 2,653 last year, this number has risen to 2,827 this year (Ref. Table showing trends in enrollment and centers for the EXETAT and the National Board for the Short and Long Cycles from 2022 to 2023).

Furthermore, it should be noted that seven (7) educational provinces, out of the sixty (60) in the EPST subsector, did not organize the short cycle in 2023.

These are:

- Kinshasa-Tshangu;

- Kinshasa Plateau;

- Kwango 1;

- Kwilu 2;

- Mai-ndombe 2;

- Equateur 2 -

- Mongata 2.

This situation reflects a continuing lack of interest among candidates, resulting in a decrease in the number of testing centers and a declining availability of diplomas for this program.

In fact, the number of exam centers designated for the short cycle has dropped from 287 last year to 275 this year.

Note that the 56th regular session of the state exam begins this Monday, June 26, 2023, and will conclude three days later, on Thursday, June 29.
