The Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship (Edu-NC),Mathieu Mukenge Bakina, is in Kisangani, the capital of the Tshopo 1 educational province, on a field supervision mission for the out-of-session State Exam exams launched this Monday, June 2, in Kinshasa by the supervisory authority. Welcomed by the Provincial Director of Edu-NC, Alain Muimbi Muimbi, and other senior officials from the provincial school administration, he immediately began an inspection tour of several exam centers across the city. On the agenda: observing the conduct of the essay exams, oral exams, and subject-specific technical exams for certain tracks, prior to the official launch.
“The Acting Secretary General’s presence on the ground demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring the rigor and credibility of the State Exam’s organization,” emphasized an education official on site.
Both symbolic and operational in nature, this visit is part of a process to closely monitor the conduct of certification exams across the entire country. It comes as thousands of graduating students navigate this crucial phase of their academic journey. In addition to inspecting the testing centers, Mathieu Mukenge plans to hold technical meetings with provincial officials to assess the logistical, educational, and security measures in place and identify necessary adjustments. In a context marked by several challenges, particularly in the rural areas of Tshopo, the message is clear: the government remains committed to preserving the credibility and uniformity of the state diploma, while affirming its connection to the realities of the people in the provinces.
