Annual performance review launched in education provinces

The annual performance review for National Education and New Citizenship (EDU-NC) began this Monday, August 5, 2024, in educational provinces across the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

These proceedings are taking place under the supervision of provincial directors and chief provincial inspectors of National Education and New Citizenship.

Participants in these sessions include representatives from Provincial Assemblies, Provincial Governments, Proveds and IPPs, Dinacope, Sub-Proveds, parent-teacher committees, student representatives, and other stakeholders in the education system.

These activities consist of evaluating the performance of the sub-sector, updating the school map, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of performance targets, and validating the planning for the following year in each educational province.

The RAP is convened in accordance with the provisions established by the Ministry of Education pursuant to Ministerial Decree No. MINEPST/CABMIN/054/2022 of April 29, 2022, establishing the procedures for the annual performance review.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants will formulate recommendations likely to improve the operational plan for education in their educational provinces, which recommendations will be forwarded to the Ministry of Education for consideration.

The report to be prepared will include the plan for updating the school map; the plan for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of reforms; and the plan for monitoring and evaluating activities. This report must be submitted to the higher authorities within 7 days.
