20 April 2023
After a two-week Easter break, all students returned to school on Monday, April 17, across the country. This marks the final stretch of the school year before the various end-of-year exams. During this period, sixth-grade elementary students, eighth-grade students, and high school seniors will face various national-level exams that mark the end of their respective school cycles. The National Primary School Completion Exam (ENAFEP) for sixth-grade elementary students is scheduled this year from Thursday, June 1, to Friday, June 2, 2023. The National Test for Academic and Career Selection and Guidance (TENASOSP) for 8th graders will take place from Thursday, June 15, to Friday, June 16, 2023. Following these national exams, the third-quarter exams will be held. At the secondary level, the supplementary sessions of the State Exam, which begin with the essay, will run from May 8 to May 20, 2023. These exams include the essay, the oral French exam, and the practical assessment. As a reminder, the Ministry of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST) prohibits schools from denying access to students who are unable to pay the fees for participating in these exams.
