On Thursday, February 29, 2024, the General Inspectorate held a workshop on the evaluation of certification exams in the meeting room of the Kinshasa Teacher Resource Center (CREK). Bringing together the Deputy General Inspectors (IGA), this meeting aims to review the Manual of Procedures for Certification Assessments in order to identify potential challenges that graduating students might face during exams such as the State Exam (EXETAT), the National Primary School Graduation Exam (Enafep), and the National Test for Academic and Vocational Selection and Guidance (Tenasosp). Enoc Mputu, Deputy Inspector General, emphasized that this assessment will enable State Exam administrators to better understand their responsibilities in the field. "This prior understanding would prevent us from reinventing the wheel and would serve as a valuable guide for the entire process," he explained. It should be noted that following an in-depth discussion, participants were divided into working groups to formulate concrete proposals for amendments aimed at improving the Congolese education system. Once submitted to the public, these changes will help shape a fairer and more effective system. It should be noted that on October 23, 2023, the General Inspectorate adopted the Procedures Manual after more than 56 years, thanks to the enlightened leadership of Minister Tony Mwaba Kazadi. The Procedures Manual is a tool of great importance in the organization of certification exams. It provides a general overview of the process, from the registration of final-year students to the publication of specific results. Nodriche Kasaï and Hugo Kambala
