The Annual Performance Review meetings in all educational provinces under the Ministry of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education concluded on Friday, August 4, 2023. In the Kin-Plateau educational province, these sessions were held under the auspices of the provincial director, Clément Mukanya. Several recommendations were made to improve the quality of teaching and education. These include, among others: the performance of each inspector pool, adherence to the school calendar, ongoing monitoring and supervision of school principals, improvement of the school environment, equipping newly established schools, organization of extracurricular activities, recruitment of teachers based on established criteria, and the requirement for school principals to submit budget forecasts. During the proceedings, there was also discussion of reviewing the recommendations of the Kin-Plateau Educational Province during the 2022 Annual Performance Review. It was noted that the Kin-Plateau Educational Province suffers from a shortage of qualified teachers in several secondary schools. Participants from the eight sub-divisions that make up the Kin-Plateau Educational Province were urged to spare no effort in implementing these resolutions. “I ask my colleagues to fully implement the resolutions adopted during this annual performance review, since we have evaluated the 2022 annual performance review and planned for the year 2023,” said Kin-Plateau Provincial Director Clément Mukanya. According to him, his province is committed to implementing all recommendations. Provincial Chief Inspector Noël Ngilengo, for his part, promised sanctions for those who refuse to comply. Listening attentively, the participants agreed to implement all the recommendations made. “I commit to implementing the recommendations made by the plenary session in accordance with the priorities and, above all, in line with the theme of the 2023 annual performance review, which focuses on management measures to improve the quality of education through good governance and accountability,” stated Emery Mangwene Emery, Deputy Provincial Director of Maluku 2. The theme of this meeting is: “Improving the quality of education through good governance and accountability.” Thierry Mbebangu
