The Kinshasa-Plateau educational province has 34,160 students taking the Primary School Graduation Exams (ENAFEP), including 19,288 boys and 15,772 girls from 1,125 schools—414 public and 711 private. After officially launching the exams, Clément Mukanya and Ngilongo Noël, respectively the provincial director and chief provincial inspector of this educational district, visited several testing centers to ensure the exams were proceeding smoothly. Some students approached in the exam rooms expressed their enthusiasm at seeing this stage of primary school come to an end. This was the case for student Mubandu Simerdi from E.P. 4 in Kinkole, at the Maman Sifa center. According to him, the exam was manageable, and he hopes to score around 70% at the end of the exams. “I worked hard just as we were taught in class, and I’m going to pass with 70%,” he reassures himself. For Clémence Lema, from EP Clémence in Kinkole, “I’m the first to finish in the entire center, and I can see that I worked hard. The main thing for me is to get at least 60%, that’s all,” she hopes. The Kinshasa-Plateau educational province comprises 8 sub-provinces, which are divided into 72 centers, including nine centers for the Maluku 1 subdivision, one center for the Maluku 2 subdivision, one center for Maluku 3, six centers for Maluku 4, twenty-two centers for the N’sele 1 subdivision, eighteen centers for N’sele 2, nine centers for N’sele 3, and six centers for N’sele 4. It should be noted that the Kinshasa-Plateau educational province is one of the newest educational provinces created and was formed from the division of the Tshangu educational province. Kin-Plateau extends as far as Mongata on National Highway No. 1 and borders Kwango and Central Kongo. Thierry Mbebangu
