On Tuesday, September 26, civil service inspectors presented to Christine Nepa Nepa, Secretary General for Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST), the findings of their missions to identify the sites where the general inspectors of the civil service will conduct headcounts of EPST ministry staff. The meeting was attended by various department heads from the Ministry of EPST. The findings indicate that the facilities of the Communication Management Directorate of the Ministry of EPST, RTEDUC, and DIGE are among the selected sites. These locations were chosen based on the geographical distribution of the various directorates and departments within the EPST administration. “Last Friday, the Secretary General, accompanied by the Inspector General, received a delegation from the Inspector General of Public Administration, who was carrying a request from the Deputy Prime Minister at the request of the Minister of EPST. To that end, the directors, heads of departments, and IGAs were invited to receive guidance and all relevant information regarding the upcoming administrative audit. They have 10 days to prepare. The sites have been identified. It was necessary to assess the staffing levels of each department to determine the quota. And today, the purpose is simply to report to the Secretary General in the presence of the Inspector General of Public Administration to receive guidance. “Every employee is a public servant and will report individually and without interference,” said Hilaire Yogo. It should be noted that this Civil Service mission to the EPST also aims to review the job descriptions to define the role of each department in order to avoid overlap. Dan de Dieu Kayanda
