At least 14,000 graduating students took the 2023 State Exam’s make-up sessions in the Kasai 1 educational province.
The kickoff for the launch in Kasaï was given by Gaston Nkole Tshimuanga, acting governor of the province. It took place at the Tshikunga Institute in the Tshikapa 2 subdivision.
Speaking at the event, Christian Ilunga, provincial director of the Kasaï 1 Provincial Education and Training Service (EPST), noted that among the 14,000 students regularly enrolled in the 6th grade of the humanities track—4,745 girls and 9,255 boys—are distributed across the 52 centers in the Kasaï 1 educational province.
He also expressed the hope that these exams would take place in a calm atmosphere. He urged the students to focus more.
“I am very pleased to launch today the 2023 State Exam’s out-of-session exams, and I hope these exams take place in a peaceful atmosphere. I take this opportunity to urge you to stay focused and wish you good luck,” said Gaston Nkole.
It should be noted that more than one million students are taking part in these exams in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
This 56th edition was launched nationwide on May 8, 2023, by Deputy Minister Aminata Namasia on behalf of Minister Tony Mwaba Kazadi, who is on an official mission abroad.
