The Lomami Provincial Government has set the registration fee for the special session of the State Exam for the current school year at 60,000 Fc. This was announced by Müller Mulenda Keba Keba, Director of the Lomami 2 Educational Province, during the launch of the outreach campaign for the provincial decree setting the fees for national certification exams. The event took place on Tuesday, February 13, in the Ngandajika 2 sub-division in Bakwa Mulumba. According to the Lomami 2 Provincial Education Director, this outreach aims to raise awareness among stakeholders to ensure widespread participation of children in these exams, unlike previous years when a low participation rate was recorded in the Ngandajika 2 sub-division. “This outreach campaign is province-wide, so that it can reach the entire Lomami 2 educational province. This awareness-raising effort also targets primary schools, to educate parents so that positive results can be achieved. “You must not neglect this campaign,” stated Müller Mulenda Keba Keba. He thus invited all relevant stakeholders—including parents, teachers, and civil society—to increase awareness-raising efforts in their respective communities to maximize student participation in these exams. Below are the details of the provincial decree setting the fees for exam participation: - Preliminary sessions for self-taught candidates: 37,500 FC per candidate; - State Exam (Essay) outside the regular session: 60,000 FC per candidate; - Regular session of the State Exam: 31,000 FC; - National Academic and Career Selection and Orientation Test: 31,500 FC. In addition, the Proved Mulenda took the opportunity during this session to present several decrees regarding the accreditation and location of certain schools in this educational province, signed by the Minister of Education (EPST), Tony Mwaba.
