IT specialists from various offices and entities, provincial directors from the different educational provinces, school administrators, and the head of the provincial division of the Ministry of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST) for North Kivu 2 in the city of Butembo took part in a training session organized at the offices of the Teacher Monitoring and Payroll Service (SECOPE).
The goal is to teach participants how to use the platform and help them understand the benefits and functionality of this website, which was recently launched by National Minister Tony Mwaba Kazadi, head of this sub-sector.
This session was held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in the city of Butembo, with Oyo Kololo Fama as the speaker. Fama is one of the IT specialists at SECOPE in North Kivu 2 province who had himself recently received training in Kinshasa on this innovation from the Ministry of EPST, designed primarily for teachers.
"We are called upon to further promote the website of our SECOPE department, which can be found at www.secope-rdc.com and has been approved by His Excellency Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, so that every teacher can make use of it to find all information related to payroll as well as student identification, a tool that will enable teachers to gain a clear understanding of their school’s various statistics, including trends in payroll and teacher and student enrollment across the entire country, and allow administrators to closely monitor their institution’s records,” said the official.
On the same occasion, the provincial director of North Kivu 2 Province, Salomon Shalumoo Tsambali, spoke in praise of the initiative of Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, who envisions the implementation of various reforms in the Congolese education system.
Echoing Minister Tony Mwaba, Provincial Director Salomon Shalumoo emphasized that ensuring the long-term sustainability of free education—a key priority of the minister—requires, among other things, a relentless fight against negative values in the school environment.
