Ituri - Free participation in Exetat and TENASOSP: expenses already paid will be reimbursed

The Congolese government has decided to cover the costs of participating in certification exams for all graduating students in Ituri Province. This initiative applies to both the State Exam (EXETAT) and the National Test for Academic and Vocational Selection and Guidance (TENASOSP). This decision is part of a series of previous measures implemented for the provinces of North and South Kivu, where the government had already announced that it would cover exam fees for graduating students. Local education authorities have been tasked with organizing the reimbursement of fees already paid by parents. Parents are therefore encouraged to contact their children’s schools to recover the amounts paid. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on families, especially in a difficult socio-economic context, while ensuring equitable access to education for all students, regardless of their place of residence or the security challenges they may face. The off-session exams for the State Examination began on Monday, June 2, 2025, throughout the country. The regular session is scheduled for July 28–31, 2025. Ouriel Mangitukwa
