A training session on educational leadership for elementary school principals was held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the Kananga Teachers’ Educational Resource Center (CREPK). It brought together supervisors from the Kasaï Central 1 provincial core group, including school inspectors and educational advisors. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Richard Mpampanye, director of the Kasaï Central 1 educational province. This training is part of the Project for the Improvement of Primary Education Quality (PEQIP), specifically its subcomponent 2.1 focused on strengthening classroom instruction. The objective is clear: to equip supervisors with the necessary tools to effectively support teachers in the field, emphasizing the strategic role that school principals play in the quality of learning. Led by the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship through the National Primary Teacher Training Service (Sernafor Primaire), this initiative is funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and receives technical support from the World Bank. This training is part of a broader effort to enhance the professionalization of frontline educators with the aim of creating a more effective and equitable education system throughout the DRC.
