Kasaï 1: 20,101 candidates took part in the Tenasosp

20,101 students, including 11,234 girls, took part last Thursday and Friday in the National Selection and Academic and Vocational Guidance Test (Tenasop), which was held throughout the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). These statistics were provided by Christian Ilanga, provincial director (PROVED) of Kasaï 1. These students, who are in their final year of basic education, were distributed across 91 testing centers, spread throughout the 15 subdivisions of the Kasaï 1 educational province. The test was officially launched in the region at the Mabondo Institute in Tshikapa by Aaron Katshimu Kangapu, acting provincial minister of education for the province of Kasaï. The National Selection and Academic and Vocational Orientation Test is for 8th-grade students in basic education and allows them to reassess their choices of subjects in the humanities and future careers.
