The Chief Provincial Inspector of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST) for Kasaï 1 reminded all provincial coordinators and school principals of accredited private and public schools within his jurisdiction of the official instructions issued by the minister in charge regarding the fact that the National Primary School Graduation Exam is free of charge. This took place during a meeting he chaired on Friday, March 15, 2024, in the conference room of the Kasaï 1 Provincial EPST Directorate. Léonard Malamba Kasongo clarified that for the National Selection, Academic, and Career Guidance Test (TENSOSP), the governor has set the participation fee at 35,000 FC. “We placed particular emphasis on certification exams: the National Primary School Graduation Exam (ENAFEP), which is free of charge, and we told school principals that no one may assume the authority to collect fees in public or accredited private primary schools; for the National Selection, Academic, and Career Guidance Test (TENSOSP), the governor has set the participation fee at 35,000 FC. All school principals and administrators are required to raise awareness about this measure,” stated IPP Léonard Malamba. Regarding the special session, he noted that students must pay 65,000 FC. For the regular session, the governor has set the participation fee at 60,000 FC. During this meeting, particular emphasis was also placed on improving the quality of education by combating the negative values of the past. “Next, we discussed good governance, and this is where we emphasized adherence to the school calendar, because it is our guide; every teacher, principal, and administrator regularly consults the school calendar to carry out each task on time,” he continued. According to the school calendar, the National Primary School Completion Exam (ENAFEP) is scheduled for Monday, June 3, through Tuesday, June 4, while the National Test for Academic and Career Selection and Guidance (TENASOSP) will be held from Thursday, June 13, through Friday, June 14, 2024.
