A total of 299 teachers and inspectors are participating in a capacity-building workshop on the Social Environment Domain (DAS) and the Language Domain (DAL) in the EPST Kasaï-Central 1 educational province in Kananga. Launched on Monday, March 18, the workshop will conclude on Saturday, March 23, lasting five days. The workshop aims to build the capacity of teachers and inspectors in new teaching methodologies, particularly the competency-based approach and the situational approach. This is a genuine transformative movement aimed at improving teaching systems and adapting them to the changing world of today. This approach is characterized by innovation, change, improvement, and sustainability, with a particular focus on student well-being and the quality of learning. According to the Chief Provincial Inspector of Kasaï-Central 1, who provided the information to the EPST’s Communication Management Directorate, the participants were divided as follows: 117 in DAL and 182 in DAS. Honoré Mulamba Nyunyu noted that the organization of these sessions resulted from a request submitted to the EPST General Inspectorate on behalf of teachers and inspectors in the Kasaï-Central 1 and 2 educational provinces. "This is a great day for our educational province. Two months ago, we submitted this request to the EPST Inspector General so that the training sessions held elsewhere would also be extended to our educational provinces of Kasaï-Central 1 and Kasaï-Central 2. We thank the Inspector General for approving our request," said IPP Honoré Mulamba at the launch of the conference. It should be noted that this workshop was launched by the provincial minister in charge of education for Kasaï Central, Tudimuene Munda Marie-Jeanne, who welcomed the start of this conference, whose facilitators are from Kinshasa. After Kasaï-Central 1, the facilitators will travel to Luiza in the educational province of Kasaï-Central 2, before returning to Kinshasa. Willy Kambulu
