On April 1, 2023, the provincial committee organized an official ceremony to present academic certificates to recipients in the Kasaï II educational province in Mweka. This ceremony involved the distribution of long-overdue primary school certificates for the years 2018 through 2022, as well as state diplomas for the year 2021, documents marking the completion of these two stages of the students’ educational journey.   Speaking at the event, Nkongolo Tshimini Joseph, provincial director of the Kasaï II EPST, praised the past achievements in his educational province. According to him, the province has consistently ranked among the top four in the Republic.   He thus reiterated his congratulations to the recipients as well as their parents present at the ceremony. Proved Joseph Nkongolo expressed his hope that all stakeholders in his educational province would continue to play their part in achieving the goal of being ranked among the best.   “With this noble profession, we are at the forefront of the development of our beloved and beautiful country (…) in this era of free education advocated by the Head of State and implemented through Minister Tony Mwaba, we must support this effort by doing our jobs well to help our country and our province,” he stated.   Present at the ceremony, Makasinga-a-Gimondo, the provincial chief inspector, in turn, informed the public that the issuance of diplomas and certificates is strictly free of charge in all inspection pools of the Kasaï II Provincial Education and Training Service (EPST), where school principals must be served.   “School principals, in turn, must distribute these documents free of charge to the recipients who have long awaited their credentials,” he ordered.   It should be noted that the ceremony concluded with words of congratulations and thanks from the administrator of the Mweka territory, who graced the event with his presence, along with several other political and administrative authorities, alongside civil society representatives and the parents of students from this province.   As a reminder, the Kasaï II educational province was created following the division of the Kasaï I educational province in Tshikapa.
