According to the director of the Kasai 2 educational province, Nkongolo Tshiminyi, there has never been a problem with report cards in his jurisdiction.

In an interview with the Communication Management Directorate of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (DGC-EPST) on Wednesday, July 5, the Kasaï 2 provincial director stated that he had initiated administrative proceedings to reprimand school principals who announced students’ results without report cards.

“The evidence is right here; the provincial chief inspector and I received the report cards from all the schools that had paid the fees beforehand. When the first batches arrived, they were processed, and the results were announced. There are schools that announced results with report cards. Consider the access to Mweka compared to Tshikapa and Kananga. Our report cards arrive by plane and via the Kananga route. We’ve done everything, and the report cards are here. And all the school principals who wrote those little notes are people who can’t stand free education,” says Joseph Nkongolo Tshiminyi.

He added, “Besides, they’ve been called out; everyone must answer for their missteps. The documents have already been prepared. This is a way to tarnish the image of the Kasaï 2 educational province, which isn’t the only province with delayed report cards.”

It should be noted that the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (EPST) is committed to standardizing the report card template for all educational provinces, which previously each had their own model.

It is in this vein that each educational province receives its report cards from Kinshasa in proper form before the end of each school year.
