Kinshasa: "Intellect Quiz" inter-school competition kicks off on March 2

The 6th edition of the interscholastic competition known as "Intellect Quiz" will kick off on March 2 in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The opening day will take place at Lycée Mgr Docteur Shaumba, in the Gombe district. The 32 schools from across Kinshasa selected for this edition learned who their opponents would be following a draw held on Saturday, February 24, at the Boboto Cultural Center in Gombe. According to the Academic Support Center for the Training of Congo’s Elite (Casfec ONGD), which organizes this program, the selected schools will compete on questions related to general knowledge, in accordance with the curriculum of the Ministry of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST). A humanities scholar throughout his studies, the coordinator of this organization, Metouschélah Yubu, expressed his motivation as a desire to offer students the opportunity to exchange knowledge and promote their intellectual development. To participate in this competition, interested schools may register at the organization’s headquarters located at 27 Avenue du 24 Novembre, Binza-Pigeon neighborhood, in the municipality of Ngaliema, or via email at casfec.ongd20@mail.com Students in grades 7 through 10 from all sections of the humanities program are eligible to participate. As a reminder, the 5th edition was won by Boboto Middle School in the final against Motema Mpiko High School.
