As part of the teacher retirement initiative and the EPST-CNSSAP partnership, Tony Mwaba Kazadi, Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST), officially launched the consultation platform for retired teachers on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. The ceremony took place in the EPST Ministry’s conference room, in the presence of the EPST sector’s financial and technical partners. “This innovation in the education subsector is part of the digital governance we advocate at the EPST. This is the first time in the DRC that there has been a directory of retired teachers. This innovation will bring transparency, not only for those concerned but also for the public and for both national and international educational stakeholders,” said Professor Tony Mwaba. There are 4,395 teachers eligible for end-of-career benefits. This list has already been sent to the CNSSAP for the processing of their pensions. It should be noted that in April, approximately 452 employees will retire, and that list will also be forwarded to the CNSSAP. Glodi Mboma
