Kongo Central 2: Heads of department of the provincial directorate strengthened in personnel management skills

A capacity-building meeting for the heads of all departments within the Kongo Central 2 Provincial Directorate was held on Tuesday, May 16, in Mbanza-Ngungu, attended by Director Jean Tshisekedi Kabasele.

Édouard Basiba, head of general services, led this short training session organized under the theme: “Managing a department in terms of capacity.”

This meeting enabled participants to strengthen their managerial skills, particularly in monitoring attendance and assigning tasks to staff, coordinating and supervising these tasks, as well as conducting evaluations—first individually, then collectively.

"Furthermore, a department head must have the ability to develop and manage a work plan—that is, to plan or schedule their activities for each school year, which spans nine months," emphasized Édouard Basiba.

"We initiated this training program with the aim of improving the quality of our work. We have received many young people who lack experience, which is why we began by building the capacity of the department heads, who in turn will train their staff," he explained.

It should be noted that, at the initiative of Provincial Director Jean Tshisekedi Kabasele, all staff members of the Kongo Central 2 Provincial EPST Directorate will be trained in the coming days. This capacity-building training will take place over two days.
