Matadi-EPST recruitment competition: 696 teacher candidates and 74 directors take the written test

696 prospective teachers and 74 principals from two urban subdivisions of Matadi in the Kongo-Central educational province took part in the EPST recruitment exam, which was launched by the chief of staff to the provincial Minister of Education at the EPA Londe and Notre Dame de Mvunzi Institute campuses, in the presence of the provincial director of Kongo Central 1. Of the 696 candidates, 507 teachers and 48 principals came from the Matadi 1 subdivision, while the Matadi 2 subdivision fielded 189 teachers and 28 principals. Only candidates who scored at least 60% will be eligible for the oral exam, which consists of a professional skills assessment for teacher candidates and a professional interview for principal candidates in the Kongo-Central 1 educational province, which comprises 11 subdivisions. The nine other subdivisions are also included in this pilot phase of the new teacher recruitment system, with exams scheduled to begin simultaneously on March 18.
