No school without benches campaign: New benches to be handed over at Kongo Central 2 starting this Monday

Jean Kabasele Tshisekedi, Director of the Kongo-Central 2 Educational Province, visited a workshop on the morning of Saturday, April 15, where student desks and teachers’ tables are manufactured, as part of the “No School Without Desks” campaign launched by the minister in charge. Jean Kabasele Tshisekedi’s goal was to assess the progress of the production of these student desks and teacher tables. At the end of his visit, he expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work and promised that the desks and tables would be delivered to schools as early as this coming week. The “No School Without Desks” campaign, coupled with the numerous school construction projects initiated by Minister Tony Mwaba, addresses the issue of overcrowded classrooms—one of the unintended consequences of the free primary education policy enacted in 2019.
