The Director of the North Kivu 1 Educational Province, Luc Gbaweza Kabongo, invited representatives from the National Employment Office (ONEM) and the Labor Inspectorate to assist the operators of accredited private schools with the procedures for hiring teaching staff, in order to better organize the primary, secondary, and technical education (EPST). This took place during a tripartite meeting between EPST, ONEM, and the Labor Inspectorate, chaired on Tuesday, March 20. According to Proved Luc Gbaweza, the objective is to improve human resources management within the accredited private sector of the national education system. “ONEM and the Labor Inspectorate are each invited to assist the promoters of accredited private schools in organizing the EPST subsector in compliance with Framework Law No. 14/004 of February 11, 2014, on national education, and Law No. 016/2002 of October 15, 2002, establishing the Labor Code," emphasized the governor of North Kivu 1. According to him, all stakeholders agreed on several points. This meeting was part of the traditional collaboration between these subsectors, which are responsible for overseeing the hiring procedures for teaching staff in these institutions. It was reported that the stakeholders agreed to involve provincial officials from the National Association of Accredited Private Schools (ASSONEPA) and the Collective of Promoters of Accredited Private Schools in the Congo (CEPACO) at the next meeting.
