Participation in the National Primary School Graduation Exam (ENAFEP) is completely free of charge. The government has covered all costs associated with taking this exam since the implementation of free primary education, which was introduced four years ago in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Scheduled for June 1–2 this year, the ENAFEP is the final assessment that moves elementary school students to the next level.
It is therefore considered part of the primary curriculum, which is why it is free for students attending public and accredited private schools.
However, payment of participation fees for the National Selection, Academic, and Career Guidance Test (TENASOSP) is mandatory.
The same applies to participation in the State Exams (EXETATS).
The amount to be paid to take these last two exams is set each year by a provincial government decree.
It should be noted that for the 2022 session, the participation fee for the State Exam was set at 42.5 U.S. dollars and 12 U.S. dollars for participation in the TENASOSP.
