The minister in charge of planning for the Democratic Republic of the Congo handed over eight new elementary schools to the provincial authorities of North Kivu. These schools were built as part of the Local Development Program for 145 Congolese territories. In a symbolic gesture, local authorities received the keys to the primary schools in Masosi and Kitoho. For the minister, this marks the realization of the “people first” vision championed by Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi. “Despite the insecurity that characterizes North Kivu province, nothing can stop Head of State Félix Tshisekedi’s determination to drive grassroots development through the Local Development Program for 145 Territories (PDL-145T),” noted the Minister of Planning. The PDL-145T program is an initiative of President Tshisekedi that aims to provide each territory with adequate schools, hospitals, and administrative buildings. Célestin Zeula
