Pre-school education: towards a partnership between OMEP-RDC and OMEP-France on vocational training

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, in Poitiers, a delegation from the World Organization for Early Childhood Education of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (OMEP-DRC) met with a French delegation at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Education and Training (IH2EF) to discuss collaboration between the two organizations.

Led by its President, Michel Otto, the Congolese delegation met with the Deputy Director, the Head of International Relations Dominique Queré, and the Vice President of OMEP/France.

Discussions between the two parties focused on establishing a constructive framework for collaboration in the training of early childhood education professionals, in response to the fundamental needs expressed by the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This visit was facilitated by the French Embassy in the DRC. It reflects a commitment by both countries to promoting early childhood education.

Agathe DJAMBA, Deputy Inspector General in charge of preschool education oversight, and Joy Tunamau, a researcher in science education at the preschool level, are part of the Congolese delegation.
