Raïssa Malu, Minister of State and Minister of National Education and New Citizenship, issued two separate decrees on October 24, 2024, appointing and assigning provincial directors (Proveds) and senior provincial inspectors (IPPs) to 60 educational provinces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).  These include officials who have held the same position in the past. They are either reappointed or reassigned. For example, Astrid Nambuy Makengo, Provincial Director of Kin-Mont Amba, and Lobo Mikobi of Lomami 1, retain their positions. As for the former Provincial Director of Kin-Tshangu, Funa, and Plateau, Robert Mogumu Kongi, he has been assigned to perform the same role in the Maniema 2 educational province, while Yoy Bokete Jean-Pierre of Kin-Lukunga is moving to Kwilu 2. According to Article 2 of the Decree appointing the Proveds, provincial directors who are not reappointed are automatically assigned to the Research Office of the General Secretariat. These appointments come a few days after those made in the central directorates and services as well as in the General Inspectorate of the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship.
