The Annual Performance Review has begun at the sub-provincial level in the Haut-Katanga 1 Educational Province. This year, it will focus on the theme “Improving the Quality of Education to Stimulate Socio-Economic Development.” In Haut-Katanga 1, it was launched on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in all of its educational subdivisions by the director of this educational province, Joseph Mwikeu, in Lubumbashi. He was accompanied by the Provincial Chief Inspector, Nicolas Nyange Bizy. To this end, they traveled throughout the five subdivisions within their educational jurisdiction to ensure the workshops were proceeding smoothly. Everywhere they went, the Provincial Director and the Provincial Chief Inspector were satisfied with the adherence to the schedule, as evidenced by the subdivisions’ organization of these meetings. The two education officials expressed their hope that these meetings would produce high-quality reports in accordance with the tools made available to participants.
“All we expect from you for this sub-provincial annual performance review is concrete reports. To achieve this, you must work according to the indicators, provide accurate information, and submit reliable data,” stated the PROVED, Joseph Mwinkeu Tshiend.
For his part, the provincial chief inspector noted that this annual performance review must focus on three priority areas of the Sectoral Strategy for Education and Training. Participants will therefore be asked to identify strengths to build upon and weaknesses to address in the future.
We ask that you focus on the tools provided at this meeting to ensure we produce high-quality work. As soon as we receive your reports, we will analyze and compile them into a single report to be sent to Kinshasa. It is therefore in your best interest to work in accordance with the guidelines for the Annual Performance Review,” emphasized Nicolas Nyange Bizy.
The Annual Performance Review aims to evaluate the sub-sector’s performance, update the school map, monitor and evaluate the implementation of reforms, and validate planning for the following year. Ivan Honoré Mudiangombé
