Several recommendations were made in the Kasa-Vubu subdivision during the 2024 Annual Performance Review (APR) meeting at the sub-provincial level. These include training for school principals, improving the weighting of the citizenship education course, and providing textbooks for students. Also, addressing the situation of new units and unpaid staff, implementing the quota for private schools, and the signing of contracts by private school staff. Invited to the closing ceremony, the rapporteur of the Kinshasa Provincial Assembly, André Kongolo, pledged his commitment to ensuring these recommendations are implemented.
“... The participants understood that if our children are not well-educated or well-instructed, our future is bleak. I have taken note of all the recommendations that were made, and I am committed to reporting them to the higher authorities. I will work to ensure that these recommendations are implemented during the five-year term we have in the Provincial Assembly,” he said.
The Deputy Provincial Education Director of Kasa-Vubu, Jude Nkaka, expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work accomplished before thanking the participants for their contributions. Organized at the provincial level on July 18 and 19, this year’s Annual Performance Review (RAP) was held under the theme “Improving the Quality of Education to Stimulate Socio-Economic Development.” Following the sub-provincial meetings, the Annual Performance Review will be held in the educational provinces next August before proceeding to the national level.
