The tradition was also observed in the Kinshasa-Mont Amba educational province, where the annual performance review was launched on Thursday, August 3, by the Director of the educational province (Proved), Astrid Nambuyi. In her remarks, the head of this educational province invited the participants—including the sub-proveds—to evaluate the past school year without reservation in order to better prepare for the coming school year. “We are here to assess the level of implementation of the directives received from higher authorities in order to equip ourselves to face the challenges of the new school year on the horizon (...) I ask everyone to engage in this with all their intelligence so that by the 2023–2024 school year, we can speak of zero misconduct and excellent governance through improved accountability in education in Mont-Amba,” she stated. Referring to the reports from each unit, the Provincial Chief Inspector (PPI) noted that the past school year proceeded smoothly and was well-organized thanks to the commitment of all staff members. He hopes this momentum will be maintained in the coming year. “... Cohesion, adherence to officials’ instructions regarding the sustainability of free education, and the fight against negative values—we will build on this strength for the new year and consolidate this success while strengthening discipline and mobility across the various pools,” stated IPP Vital. Under the theme “Improving the Quality of Education through Good Governance and Accountability,” this three-day conference will conclude on Saturday, August 5, with recommendations to be forwarded to the national level.
