The Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education, Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Civil Service, Administrative Modernization, and Public Service Innovation Jean-Pierre Lihau on Thursday, December 7, to discuss the audit of the EPST personnel database. The discussions between these two government officials centered on the latest inspection mission initiated by the civil service through the General Inspectorate of Public Administration (IGAP) last November. The head of the civil service led his EPST counterpart to meet with technical teams from both the civil service and the EPST for an informational session. Tony Mwaba told the press that their meeting focused on the administrative audit recently conducted by the General Inspectorate of Public Administration within the EPST. The audit’s objectives were to verify the actual number of civil servants working within the EPST and to clean up his ministry’s personnel records. During their discussions, they also addressed the implementation of measures contained in the latest directive from the Deputy Prime Minister for the Civil Service regarding union activities. In this regard, Jean Pierre Lihau promised to take immediate and decisive action to neutralize the union responsible for the unrest at the EPST. Célestin Zeula
