The Lomami 2 Educational Province, based in Mwene-Ditu, held a provincial committee meeting this week at the Mawej Mushindame parish in the Mwene-Ditu subdistrict. The meeting was chaired by the PROVED, Paulin Agalea Makundu Monga Libanza, in the presence of the IPP, the DIPROCOPE, and school principals.
Structured around several presentations, the meeting focused on administrative governance, the digitization of the education sector, and personnel management.
In his remarks, the PROVED emphasized administrative rigor and the ethical responsibility of school principals, reminding them of their status as state employees subject to a performance contract. He specifically warned against any manipulation of report card fees outside the official banking system, which is now punishable by immediate suspension.
For his part, the IPP highlighted the importance of digitization, in line with the vision of the Minister of National Education. The requirement for school administrators to have an Android smartphone aims to facilitate real-time data reporting.
He also announced the introduction of specific report cards for preschool, to better structure education from the ground up. Finally, the DIPROCOPE focused his message on controlling staff numbers and ensuring payroll security. He emphasized the importance of physical headcounts, rigorous management of deaths and replacements, to prevent irregularities and fictitious employees.
This meeting marks an important step in strengthening educational governance and modernizing the school system in the Lomami 2 educational province.
