The Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship is taking a new step forward in promoting the preschool sub-sector by strengthening collaboration between the National Preschool Teacher Training Service (SERNAFORE Preschool) and the Communication Management Directorate (DGC).
At the heart of this initiative, a working session was held between the acting director of the DGC (Directorate of Communication Management), Serge Biona, and the deputy inspector general in charge of SERNAFORE Preschool, Michel Otto. This meeting reflects a shared commitment to improving the management of communication efforts surrounding the activities carried out by this strategic department of the General Inspectorate of Education.
Among the key points discussed was the DGC’s support for the production and promotion of the quarterly magazine “La Voix du Préscolaire,” an initiative led by SERNAFORE Preschool, whose first issue marks a significant step forward in the sector’s visibility. This publication aims to highlight initiatives, educational innovations, and issues related to early childhood education.
Discussions also focused on the upcoming organization of a joint immersion workshop for DGC staff. This activity will strengthen communicators’ understanding of the fundamental concepts of early childhood education, with the aim of improving content mastery and fostering more appropriate, consistent, and effective communication.
This meeting between the two entities, which report to the General Inspectorate and the General Secretariat, respectively, marks the starting point of a transformative process initiated by the DGC. This process aims to reposition the communications function within the Ministry, to manage the flow of educational information, and to further promote the institution’s social role.
Through this initiative, the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship reaffirms its commitment to highlighting its actions, strengthening institutional transparency, and supporting initiatives that hold promise for the future of the education system and the country.
