The regular session of the State Exam continued on Tuesday, June 25, across the entire country. The graduating students, who took the exams for their elective courses, performed well. This was the case for Lukau Abigael, a student at Toyokana High School in the Kinshasa/Funa Educational Province. “It went well; it was easy—it was all stuff we covered in school. And for the rest of the days, I’m going to prepare well to succeed,” she said. The same sentiment was echoed by student Grâce Bosungwa of the Institut Scientifique Pédagogique de Victoire (ISPV), despite the fear that had taken hold long before this exam. “It went well, so I won’t be afraid for what’s left. It had scared me a little, but when I found myself facing the questions, I realized that these were also things we were taught,” she said. Scheduled to last four days, the State Exam, which began last Monday, will conclude this Thursday, June 27. For the remaining two days, the final-year candidates will take the science and language exams. Ouriel Mangitukwa
