President Félix Tshisekedi has tasked Raïssa Malu, Minister of National Education and New Citizenship, with sustaining and strengthening dialogue with stakeholders as the new school year approaches. This initiative aims to ensure universal access to quality education in accordance with established school calendars. It is in this spirit that the Head of State reaffirmed his commitment to the continuous improvement of the education system in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He made this statement on Friday, June 28, 2024, during the third Cabinet meeting he presided over at the African Union City in Kinshasa. Taking advantage of the occasion, President Tshisekedi emphasized the need to continue efforts toward free public primary education. He highlighted the importance of improving the quality and governance of schools, while ensuring greater accessibility for students. This program for free public primary education has enabled many children to access education. Furthermore, President Tshisekedi issued clear instructions regarding educational infrastructure. "All buildings completed under the Local Development Program for the 145 Territories (PDL-145T) must be handed over to beneficiaries throughout the country," Félix Tshisekedi insisted. This measure aims to increase the capacity of schools and improve learning conditions for students. Furthermore, President Tshisekedi reiterated his call for a collective commitment to quality education that is accessible to all and tailored to the needs of every student in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
