The 2025 session of the National Primary School Graduation Exam (Enafep) began on Tuesday, July 1, across the entire country. 2,342,864 students are registered for these exams, including 1,136,881 girls (48.5%) and 1,205,983 boys (51.5%), said Jean-Pierre Kezamudru, Deputy Minister of National Education, during the launch at EP5 Lumumba in Limete (Kinshasa). The exams are taking place amid a tense security situation, particularly in areas occupied by Rwandan forces and M23-AFC rebels in the eastern part of the country. Despite this, the government has maintained the organization of the Enafep even in these areas, as well as abroad, with two centers open in Luanda and Cabinda, Angola.
This is an opportunity for me to pay a heartfelt tribute to President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi for his commitment to free, quality education, as well as for his efforts to restore peace throughout the country. For without peace, education loses all meaning,” declared the deputy minister.
This edition of Enafep reflects the government’s determination to ensure access to education for all Congolese children, despite major security and logistical challenges. Moïse Dianyishayi
