As part of the EFFICACE project (Girls’ Education, Initial and Continuing Teacher Training, and Support for Educational Continuity), experts and partners from the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship (EDU-NC) have been gathered for a workshop on the digitization of educational content since Monday, December 15, 2025, in Mbanza-Ngungu, in the province of Kongo-Central. This five-day workshop aims to strengthen educational capacity through the integration of digital technologies into teaching, with the goal of transforming the Congolese education system and improving the quality of education through adequate teacher training. Participants in this activity are exploring innovative methods for digitizing educational content to make learning more interactive and accessible to all students. Discussions also focus on available digital tools and how to effectively integrate them into school curricula.
“This is a workshop on designing and digitizing educational content. Over the course of five days, we will explore various approaches and tools; we will also address aspects of artificial intelligence in education, and we will examine the tool that enables the digitization of content using AI,” emphasized Ms. Idalina Rodrigues, an expert in information and communication technologies for education.
Indeed, the second and fifth guiding principles of the Ministry of EDU-NC’s 2024–2029 five-year plan advocate for investment in teacher training and professional development, as well as the integration of information and communication technologies into the Congolese education system. It is important to note that the digitization of educational resources will not only enrich educational content but also promote the empowerment of girls throughout their academic journey. The outcomes of this workshop are expected to contribute to the implementation of modern educational strategies, fostering quality learning within schools. Cephora Kokanzo
