The 2023–2024 state exam concluded on Thursday, June 27, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In the Kinshasa Tshangu educational province, Provincial Director Tshiabu Kalonga Liberata visited several testing centers to assess the atmosphere within her jurisdiction. She expressed her satisfaction with the punctuality of the final-year candidates present at the various testing centers throughout the four-day period. In this educational province, 38,545 candidates, including 19,197 girls, took part in these exams. They were distributed across 79 centers opened for the Tshangu educational province. “The exams went well, and I remain confident that I will pass because we worked hard. Despite a few complications, we will succeed with God’s help,” said Junior Idrissa from the Réveil School Group, a finalist interviewed at the Kamina center (N’djili 15). Dorcas Matumba of the ITP Goge Institute, a senior interviewed at the Sainte Famille middle school center, said, “The exams went well because we were asked questions on the subjects we learned in class. Despite some difficulties, we still tried our best.” On this final day of the state exam, students took the language exam. At the centers visited by reporters from the Communication Management Directorate of the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship, no incidents were reported. Provincial authorities assured that both organizational and security measures had been put in place to allow all candidates to complete the exams in peace. Richard Dumby
