Exetat 2024: Minister of Education and New Citizenship satisfied with smooth running of events
Raïssa Malu, Minister of State and Minister of National Education and New Citizenship, praised the smooth conduct of the 58th session of the national exam throughout the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In her remarks on Thursday, June 27, at the conclusion of the 2023–2024 State Exam, she expressed her gratitude to all those involved in organizing the exam.
“I would like to express my gratitude for the overall conduct of the exams across the entire national territory. Although a few minor incidents were reported, they were quickly resolved thanks to the vigilance and responsiveness of the teams on the ground. The exams were largely conducted in a calm and orderly atmosphere,” she said with satisfaction.
Furthermore, the Minister commended the participation of children from minority groups and vulnerable categories, particularly children living with disabilities.
“Their determination to take part in these exams is a powerful testament to their resilience and courage,” Raïssa Malu stated.
Indeed, Minister Raïssa Malu Dinanga warmly commended First Minister Judith Tuluka for officially launching these exams on Monday, June 24, before congratulating officials from the Equateur 1 educational province for the remarkable inclusion of indigenous students, which she believes should serve as an example.
“I would like to congratulate the officials of the Equateur 1 educational province for the remarkable inclusion of indigenous students. Their commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive educational environment should serve as an example,” she wrote.
She also took the opportunity to send her best wishes to the students and those in eastern Congo for their participation in this exam, made possible by the relocation of certain testing centers to North Kivu and Ituri.
“My thoughts also go out to displaced students and those in the eastern region, who are facing armed violence perpetrated by terrorist groups. Their participation, made possible by the relocation of certain testing centers in the educational provinces of North Kivu 1, 2, and 3, as well as the educational province of Ituri 2, is a testament to their remarkable courage,” she said.
Thanking the Congolese government for covering the participation fees for students from North Kivu, Raïssa Malu did not hesitate for a moment to express her gratitude to the team of 160 internal and 139 external staff members for their diligent work in preparing for and conducting this 2024 state exam session.
The exams, which concluded this Thursday, saw the participation of 968,304 final-year candidates spread across 2,960 testing centers throughout the country.
