The release of results for the 58th edition of the State Examination (2025) has now been completed nationwide. The Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship announced this on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in a statement signed by Inspector General and Chief of Staff Hubert Kimbonza Sefu. According to the document, the latest published results pertain to the educational provinces of North Kivu 1, North Kivu 2, North Kivu 3, South Kivu 1, South Kivu 2, and South Kivu 3. For security reasons, the results will be made available online through telecom operators starting this Friday, August 29, 2025.
“Pending the publication of the results by the National Short Cycle Examination Board (JUNACYC), which will take place tomorrow (Friday, August 29, Ed.), the Ministry takes this opportunity to thank the entire educational community, technical partners, and all stakeholders for their support in this process, and reassures that the results of the short cycle will be published and will continue to be published in strict compliance with the legal and regulatory provisions in force. “We are the Ministry of National Education; we are preparing our children’s future; we are building the nation,” the statement reads.
As a reminder, the 2025 edition stands out for the speed with which results are published. Indeed, for the first time in the country’s history, results began to be released just 48 hours after the exams were administered. This accelerated pace addresses several imperatives, notably the government’s desire to improve the transparency of the process, reduce post-exam anxiety among students, and allow successful candidates to prepare more quickly for their transition to higher education or the professional world. This achievement was made possible by the digitization of the grading process, the decentralization of grading centers in Lubumbashi and Mbujimayi, and the active involvement of all stakeholders—teachers, technical partners, ministry departments, and private operators engaged in the education sector.
