“We have just held a working session focused on the business climate. This may surprise some, but the Ministry of National Education is at the heart of development. Human capital is now a major priority, and education is its foundation,” explained Guylain Nyembo.He also noted that this coordination is all the more crucial in the context of economic recovery, where every sector must contribute to national competitiveness.
“The private sector expects a lot from us, just as we expect its support in our development process. To attract major investments, it is crucial to improve the business climate. It is with this in mind that we are conducting this tour of reform-minded ministers,” he noted.
Guylain Nyembo Commends Raïssa Malu’s Commitment
At the conclusion of this working session, the Minister of State in charge of Planning, Guylain Nyembo, commended the efforts of Minister of State Raïssa Malu in reforming the education system.
“Minister Raïssa Malu has already been engaged in this effort for some time, and we have high expectations for her ministry, which is shaping the citizens of tomorrow,” he stated.This support reflects recognition of the central role of the Ministry of Education in building a strong human capital base, which is essential for a competitive and sustainable business climate. Furthermore, the two Ministers of State agreed to strengthen synergies between their respective administrations. While the Ministry of Planning works to improve the business environment and coordinate development aid, the Ministry of Education is focused on professionalizing educational programs, revising curricula to incorporate new technologies—including artificial intelligence—and promoting inclusive, civic-minded, and entrepreneurial education to build a strong and sustainable Congo.
This meeting illustrates the need for coherent cross-sectoral dialogue, with a view to building a growth model based on strong human capital and an attractive business climate, in the service of the DRC’s social and economic progress.
It also aligns with the guiding principle of stakeholder dialogue and reflects the Ministry’s commitment to strengthened educational governance, aligned with national development priorities.
