Under the leadership of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ituri Province is now benefiting from the “Resilience for Children+” project launched by the national government of the DRC.
Supported by the Republic of Korea and UNICEF, this major initiative aims to protect and enroll in school children severely affected by humanitarian crises.
The Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship (MINEDU-NC) joined the announcement to commend this initiative, which is directly aligned with the national strategy for education in emergency situations.
The key components of this initiative are:
* Social and educational support: A joint effort to ensure the continuity of classes despite population displacement.
* Distance learning: A technological solution to overcome physical obstacles caused by conflict.
* Government commitment: MINEDU-NC is mobilizing its services to facilitate the reintegration and retention of every child in a safe learning environment.
Through this interministerial partnership, the Government reaffirms its commitment to transforming the vulnerability of conflict zones into a space for reconstruction through knowledge.
