Jean-Pierre Lihau and Raïssa Malu agree on the organic framework of EDU-NC's Inspectorate General

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Civil Service, Administrative Modernization, and Public Service Innovation, Jean-Pierre Lihau, and Minister of State and Minister of National Education, New Citizenship (EDU-NC), Raïssa Malu, held a working session on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, focused on strengthening the administration of education and the socio-professional conditions of teachers. This meeting concluded with the joint signing of the organizational framework for the General Inspectorate of National Education.

Through this meeting, the two government officials demonstrated their shared commitment to collaborating to provide the civil service and national education administration with the necessary tools to improve the work environment.

The jointly signed organizational framework will help manage staffing levels, streamline salaries, and strengthen the General Inspectorate’s authority so it can fully fulfill its role and improve the Congolese education system.

Another issue addressed by Deputy Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Lihau and Minister of State Raïssa Malu was teachers’ social security. This took place in the presence of officials from the National Social Security Fund for State Public Servants (CNSSAP), who provided information on coverage for retired teachers and the registration process for obtaining the card, specifically regarding the category of teachers eligible for retirement.

The Director General of the CNSSAP assured the two officials of the measures taken by his agency to provide quality service to all retired civil servants.

Minister of State Raïssa Malu praised the close collaboration between the Ministry of Public Service and the Ministry of National Education, while emphasizing the importance of this cooperation for improving teachers’ living conditions and reforming the education system.
