Since November 4, 2025, twenty-five staff members and managers from the General Secretariat of the Ministry of National Education and New Citizenship have been participating in a training program on basic computer skills. This third session, organized by the Directorate of Organization and Information Technology (D.O.I), will conclude on November 21. This training is based on the second and fifth guiding principles of the EDU-NC 2024–2029 Five-Year Plan, aimed at strengthening the administration through the integration of new information and communication technologies. Participants are learning to better use office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The goal is to improve their work methods and make public services more efficient.
“This training demonstrates the ministry’s commitment to equipping its staff with the digital skills essential for a modern educational service,” said Éric Tososila, office manager at the DOI.
The trainees praised the quality of the instruction and the relevance of the program.
“Now that I have a better grasp of Excel and Outlook, I’ll use them to do my daily work effectively,” said one of the participants.
The DOI also plans to conduct follow-up assessments after the training to evaluate the actual use of the acquired skills and ensure that digital tools are fully integrated into the administration’s daily work. Through these training sessions, the ministry continues its efforts to build an educational system aligned with modern standards. The goal is to enable the administration to meet current needs through the use of digital tools. Serge Kimbila and Magali Mussa
