About 50 teachers, school inspectors, administrative staff, and one student participated in a training workshop on the digitization of the education system on December 5, 2024. Organized by the General Inspectorate, this training session was held in the computer lab, which was recently equipped by the Head of State, Félix Tshisekedi, with about fifty computers and other IT equipment. The participants expressed their satisfaction, stating that this session helped bridge the gap between theory and practice. “I am very happy because before, we were unable to teach children computer science since there was no equipment, but today we have it,” said Evelyne Luyina, a fourth-grade teacher. For his part, the trainer, Zephirin Sumbi, praised the commitment and determination of the President of the Republic and the Minister of National Education and New Citizenship, Raissa Malu, to digitize the Congolese education system. “Improving the quality of education begins first and foremost with the quality of the teachers who are called upon to educate the youth. The quality of education also depends on the use of technology,” he emphasized. This donation from the Head of State came after his visit to the school on September 16. It is part of the quality pillar of the 2016–2025 Sectoral Strategy for Education and Training. Ouriel Mangitukwa
