A total of 52,920 senior high school students, including 23,681 girls, have been taking the exams for the 2024 regular session of the State Exam in Kongo Central Province since Monday, June 24. The kickoff was led by Christophe Bampaka, chief of staff to the provincial minister of national education, at the La Colline School Complex in Matadi. For this session, three deaf-mute students—two girls and one boy from a special school in Matadi—are also taking the exams in the dressmaking and sewing section. At the launch of the exams, local authorities urged students to maintain self-confidence, discipline, and a commitment to individual effort. Candidates were strictly prohibited from any form of cheating, under penalty of having their exam session canceled. In the administrative province of Kongo Central, three educational districts are conducting these exams in a peaceful and calm atmosphere. Marie-France PALA
