“This work marks the convergence of our efforts around an ambitious and relevant theme. Education in the DRC is going through a crucial period, facing persistent challenges such as unequal access, low-quality teaching, and governance that could be improved,” she stated.
For Ms. Raïssa Malu, the RAP also serves as an opportunity for accountability and is fully aligned with the implementation of the 2024–2029 Five-Year Plan. She adds that it allows for a review of the strategic objectives set and the adjustment of priorities.
Much more than a simple annual meeting, this conference aims to evaluate the actions taken to ensure quality education for all children and reduce inequalities. Discussions will also focus on the integration of information and communication technologies to modernize the education system and improve its performance.
“Every discussion, every recommendation emerging from this RAP must be performance-oriented. Do not limit yourselves to analyzing the past. Look to the future and propose concrete, sustainable solutions of which we can all be proud,” she emphasized.This conference, scheduled for August 26–28, is organized around four main themes: - Evaluation of the subsector’s performance; - Updating the school map; - Implementation of reforms; - Validation of planning for the following year. Several guests attended the launch ceremony. They included representatives from the Office of the President, the Prime Minister’s Office, as well as technical and financial partners.
